CID Night Market is a staple annual event in Seattle, drawing approximately 20,000 visitors each year to celebrate local artists, vendors, and businesses in the historic Chinatown-International District. For the 2026 night market, I designed the event's visual materials across print marketing, social media, and merchandise.
Because the night market celebrates the culture and community of the Chinatown-International District, I drew inspiration from elements closely associated with Asian culture, including the dragon, moon, and popular Asian cuisine. The moon also reflects the event's timing around the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional holiday celebrated by many East Asian cultures.
I brought my personal sense of whimsy and love of color into the central dragon illustration, creating a playful focal point that emphasizes the festive nature of the night market.
